DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Customized Training Department at Holland »¢Ñ¨ÊÓÆµis seeking qualified and experienced nurses to deliver health-related training in the areas of Routine Adult Venipuncture and Principles and Practice of Foot Care. These casual instructional roles offer the opportunity to support adult learners in building specialized clinical skills through hands-on, practical learning.

Courses are delivered throughout the year, with the Venipuncture course typically offered 1–2 times annually (1 day in length), and the Foot Care course up to 4 times annually (4 days in length).

The course facilitator’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Deliver pre-developed curriculum content in alignment with course guidelines and standards
  • Facilitate classroom and lab-based learning to support both theoretical and hands-on instruction
  • Guide learners through skill development, demonstration, and practice in a supportive environment
  • Ensure course content aligns with current clinical standards and best practices
  • Monitor learner progress and provide clear, constructive feedback
  • Maintain a professional and safe instructional setting
  • Follow infection control guidelines and promote safety throughout lab activities

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN)
  • For Foot Care: Completion of a formal, credible footcare course with assessment required
  • For Venipuncture: Familiarity with and ability to teach current Canadian Laboratory Standards
  • Experience in the relevant subject area
  • Excellent attention to detail, communication and organizational skills
  • Prior instructional or training experience is considered an asset

$37.25 - $55.08 per hour
