Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Draftsperson to support our design and construction teams by preparing accurate and high-quality technical drawings and working with 3D scan data. The ideal candidate will have experience with architectural drafting standards, strong CAD skills, and a solid understanding of construction methods and building codes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare fabrication and installation drawings, including site plans, elevations, sections, and details
  • Use AutoCAD to produce and revise technical drawings
  • Process 3D scan data using plugins within AutoCAD
  • Interpret and develop architectural design concepts from sketches, specifications, and verbal instructions
  • Revise drawings based on client feedback or design changes
  • Coordinate with project managers, installers, and CNC operators to ensure accuracy 
  • Maintain and organize drawing sets and digital files
  • Conduct site visits or surveys as needed to gather data for drawing development

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or degree in a drafting related field
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, and other relevant software
  • Knowledge of building construction, materials, and methods
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

Other

Preferred Assets:

  • Experience in residential, commercial, or institutional construction projects
  • Experience in a fabrication or cladding environment
  • Knowledge of 3D modeling tools
