This one-year Post-Graduate Certificate program was developed to provide university Bachelor of Science graduates with extensive hands-on experience in the field of Bioscience.
The post-graduate certificate in Bioscience Technology offers practical and applied courses from our Bioscience Technology program. The hands-on training you receive in our laboratories complements the theoretical science courses from your BSc. It is designed for students interested in obtaining rigorous and broad training in biotechnology for a career in the bioscience sector or who want to move onto graduate studies in life sciences. Students will complete an independent research project as well as a 6-week placement with a biotechnology company. This program will provide the hands-on skills the biotechnology industry is looking for as well as providing research and analytical experience suitable for those wishing to pursue graduate studies.
Students entering this program will take a two-week lab course (BIOS-1300, Practical and Applied Skills in Bioscience) in late August leading into the fall semester of the program. This lab-based course is designed to ensure students have the necessary lab skills to be successful in the Bioscience Technology program.
Course Registration Opens on May 1st. To complete your course registration log in to Self Service.
Please review your course map below for all required first year courses. Returning students should refer to Self Service and select all remaining courses for graduation.
